HB 14-PERMANENT FUND ALLOWABLE ABSENCES CHAIR GARY STEVENS explained that the committee substitute (CS) removes all reference to the term canon law and lists specific family members that could accompany a terminally ill family member out of state and maintain eligibility for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. SENATOR FRED DYSON made a motion to adopt \D version CS of HB 14 and there was no objection. JIM POUND, staff to Representative Fate, reported the sponsor had no objection to the CS as proposed. SENATOR JOHN COWDERY made a motion to move SCS HB 14(STA) from committee with individual recommendations and asked for unanimous consent. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
